Since the beginning of the year we have been experiencing a real run on real estate financing.

With the building child benefit, they now have three months more time to present a building permit or a purchase contract for a property in order to receive the generous state subsidy. The background is of course the Corona pandemic. As a result, the granting of building permits and the signing of purchase contracts has been delayed in some cases. The application for subsidies can still be submitted until the end of 2023. This deadline remains unchanged. For construction projects not requiring planning permission, the earliest possible start of construction must be between January 1, 2018 and March 31, 2021. Applications must be submitted online via the KfW grant portal within six months of moving into the subsidized property. Since September 18, 2018, families have been able to use the government grant to build a house or purchase real estate. Each child receives EUR 12,000, paid in ten annual installments of EUR 1,200 each. Income limits apply for the receipt of the subsidy: The upper limit is a taxable household income of 90,000 euros for one child, and 15,000 euros for each additional child. With this graduation, the support is interesting for a large number of families.

 

In addition, it is possible to apply to the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) for investment grants instead of loans for some projects.

 

Finding customer-oriented advice is not as easy as one might think.
